Job Title: Transport Operations Assistant

Staff Selection UK Ltd are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Assistant to join our client's team in Keighley. Due to rapid expansion, our client requires an administrator to join their transport team.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with day-to-day operations, including scanning and labelling PODs and referencing to TMS.
  • Receive jobs and add them to the system.
  • Correspond with customers regarding deliveries, to obtain the POD where required and any other associated information needed.
  • Correspond with Drivers Daily to assist with deliveries and collections.
  • Identify and address discrepancies.
  • Update all databases and spreadsheets related to transport functions.
  • Update TMS when required.
  • Communicate and update other departments and customers on the status of loads.
  • Assist customers and other departments with warehouse enquiries.


Key Skills and Interests:


  • Good customer care skills.
  • Good written and verbal English.
  • Good computer and keyboard skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as a team.
  • An ability to work under pressure.


The ideal candidate will have experience in a previous administration role and preferably have some knowledge or the transport and logistics industry. A flexible working week of 40 hours is required, with normal hours between 09:00 and 17:00. However, the ability to cover other shifts as early as 06:00 and as late as 22:00 may be required.
