Our ideal candidate will be committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people, enabling them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
- Mentor and support newer staff members
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives
- Maintain a homely and friendly culture and environment
- Deal with challenging behaviours when necessary
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Provide support for children and young people and promote their independence and well-being
- Maintain a safe environment for young people
- Ensure the safety of students and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred methods of communication
- Experience as a Children\u2019s Support Worker or with Young People is essential
- Experience within another healthcare or social care setting is essential
- Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People
We offer a comprehensive training package, including scheduled ongoing face-to-face training and CPD planning, as well as opportunities for career development and maximising earnings.
