We have an exciting opportunity for a Road Adoption Specialist to join Vistry Group, the UK's leading provider of affordable mixed-tenure homes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely sign-off/handover of roads, sewers, play areas, and open spaces on historic sites. You will work closely with the Construction & Commercial Departments to develop technical agreements during build stages and engage with Build and Commercial teams towards the end of project development.

You will also be responsible for arranging and reviewing CCTV Surveys, As-Built Surveys, Streetlight Electrical Test Certificates, and other documentation as required. Additionally, you will liaise with external adopting authorities to investigate barriers to adoption of Legacy Sites and explore solutions.

In this role, you will utilise your knowledge of estate road and sewer construction & inspection to ensure compliance with Highway & Water Industry standards. Your experience in a similar position with a recognised housing developer or Highway/Drainage Authority is essential, along with your ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum is offered for this role, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, and private healthcare, you will also receive training and development opportunities to enhance your career.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others to their point of view. You will be a team player able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders/colleagues, with a strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Construction & Commercial Departments to ensure a timely sign-off/handover for roads, sewers, play areas, and open spaces on historic sites.
  • Arrange and review CCTV Surveys, As-Built Surveys, Streetlight Electrical Test Certificates, etc., and submit to adopting authorities as required.
  • Liaise with external adopting authorities to investigate barriers to adoption of Legacy Sites and explore solutions.
  • Utilise your knowledge of estate road and sewer construction & inspection to ensure compliance with Highway & Water Industry standards.
  • Manage external consultants to assist with adoptions as required, including their performance and costs.
