About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as an Independence Support Worker. As a key member of our Community Homecare team, you will provide exceptional care and support to clients in their own homes or in our Care Home in Corringham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering person-centered care, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients. You will work collaboratively with experienced staff, providing 7-hour shifts starting between 6 and 7 am and 2 and 3 pm, covering both early and late shifts, and weekends.

Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle are required for working in the Community, with mileage paid at 45p per mile. The Council supports the Covid-19 vaccination programme and encourages staff delivering front-line care services to take up the offer of double vaccination.

A professional attitude and knowledge around understanding Dementia, Challenging behaviours, and Manual Handling are essential. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for Adults is required at enhanced plus adults barred list level.
