Special Education Support Worker

Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a student with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis, working closely with teachers and SENCOs to understand their specific needs.
- Implement and adapt educational plans to cater to the student's individual learning requirements.
- Provide targeted assistance during classroom activities and lessons, promoting the student's engagement and well-being.
- Develop positive relationships with the student, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
- Contribute to the overall positive and inclusive atmosphere of the school.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in providing 1:1 support to students with SEN, is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individual student success.
- Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
