Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the delivery of the foundation training programme for trainee pharmacists in the South West region. As a Pharmacy Foundation Training Lead, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the programme, ensuring high-quality training and education for pharmacy professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery and quality management of foundation training for pharmacists within the region.
  • Work closely with the Head of School and Regional Head of Pharmacy to develop and implement the programme.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including universities, employers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective workforce pipeline and high-quality training.
  • Lead a team of educators to support trainee pharmacists and their supervisors in the region.

Requirements
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Clear understanding and evidence of involvement in delivery and management of healthcare education and training.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to 'sell' the vision.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel and prioritise tasks accordingly.
