Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Training Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us in shaping the future of pharmacy technicians in the South West region.

Main Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician Training Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development of pharmacy technicians across the South West. Your key duties will include:

  • Developing and managing project plans to ensure the successful delivery of pharmacy technician training programmes.
  • Liaising with stakeholders across national and regional programmes to ensure consistency and standardisation of training.
  • Designing and implementing teaching and learning strategies to support trainees and their educational supervisors.
  • Contributing to the design and development of the pharmacy education programme.
  • Supporting the business planning processes to inform the strategic development of the work of the department.
  • Identifying and supporting pharmacy trainees requiring additional support.
  • Contributing to the availability of high-quality training and support for Pharmacy Practice and Educational Supervisors.
  • Supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in pharmacy education.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services or BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent or master's in pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Knowledge of project principles, techniques, and tools, such as Agile, Prince 2 Foundation, and Microsoft Project or equivalent experience.
Desirable

Previous experience of working in a similar role, preferably in the NHS, education sector, or associated organisations, would be an advantage.
