Job Summary

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our client's team in Bolton. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coaching and developing employees to improve performance and productivity
  • Conducting investigations into accidents and incidents, and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Supporting the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Managing team performance and productivity, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Planning and organizing warehouse functions to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Supporting the implementation of operational policies and procedures, including site strategy, material flow analysis, and transport coordination
  • Managing external contractors and third-party service providers

Requirements

  • Good secondary education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a management role, preferably in the manufacturing environment
  • People management skills and experience
  • Desirable: Six Sigma/LEAN experience and experience in the metal industry
