Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at The Recruitment Co. in Bolton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of warehouse staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safe working practices and maintaining a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with the operations manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Plan and organize warehouse functions to ensure timely and effective execution, including planning of manning and sawing activities.
- Good secondary education or time served equivalent.
- Previous experience in a management role, preferably in the manufacturing environment, for a minimum of 3 years.
- People management skills and experience of working in a team environment.
- Knowledge of SAP and hand-held scanner systems, with experience of using IT systems to manage warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, with experience of leading and managing a team. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
