About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sports Development Officer to join our team at Link3 Recruitment. As a Sports Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering sports-related activities and programs within secondary schools. Your primary responsibility will be to provide mentorship and support to students, focusing on sports engagement and behavioural development.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-on-one and group mentorship sessions to students, promoting sportsmanship and positive behaviour.
  • Assist in planning and executing sports-related activities and programs, collaborating with teachers and other school staff.
  • Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to inform future interventions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a sports-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children or young people in a coaching, mentoring, or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and colleagues.
  • Safeguarding principles understanding and commitment to promoting child welfare.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing needs of students and the school environment.
Salary

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
