At Northumberland Zoo, we are committed to providing a world-class education experience for our visitors. As an Education Programme Coordinator, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering programmes that inspire learning and conservation awareness.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Education Programme Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering educational activities and resources that align with our zoo's mission and education curricular aims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programmes for schools and groups
  • Design and create high-quality educational resources and materials
  • Liaise with teachers and educators to ensure programme alignment with curriculum goals
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in education, preferably in a zoo or wildlife setting. You will also possess excellent planning and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements
  • BA/BSc degree in education or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in education, preferably in a zoo or wildlife setting

Salary: £28,500pa (dependent on experience)
