Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Exceptional Children's Lead Teacher to join our team at KIPP Charlotte. As an integral part of our school community, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier education to students with special needs.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement specially designed instruction (SDI) for students who qualify for special education services.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide consultation on classroom accommodations.
  • Develop and ensure proper implementation of student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality instruction to students with disabilities.
  2. Provide consultation to classroom teachers on classroom accommodations.
  3. Develop and implement student IEPs.
  4. Maintain accurate gradebook, records, and data tracking systems.

Requirements

  • A deep commitment to the mission of KIPP NC.
  • Valid North Carolina teaching license or willingness to pursue state certification.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area.
  • Pass Criminal Background Check.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, 403b plan, paid time off, sick leave, and extended sick leave.
