Conservation Education Role at Northumberland Zoo

This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to our mission and take our education programme to the next level. As an Education Manager, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering education activities to a range of audiences, ensuring high-quality learning experiences and adapting to changing needs.

  1. Key Requirements:
  2. At least 3 years' experience in education, preferably in a zoo environment.
  3. 4 years of professional education work experience, ideally with a relevant qualification.
  4. Excellent planning skills and flexibility to manage a diverse workload.
  5. An enthusiastic approach to conservation education, with a strong understanding of wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and sustainability.
  6. IT literacy and ability to develop education programmes.
  7. Ability to obtain a DBS check and full driving license.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,500 per annum, 40 hours per week across 5 days, with occasional weekend and bank holiday hours. You will also receive 28 days' holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays), increasing by 1 annually to a maximum of 33 days after 5 years, as well as a sick pay allowance of 1 week after 12 months' service and a pension scheme.
