Education Programme Coordinator

We are a family-run, not-for-profit zoo with a mission to inspire positive change through conservation and education. Our future is looking bright with ambitious plans for growth, including the development of new exhibits and the expansion of our education programme.
We are seeking an experienced Education Manager to join our team and take our education programme to the next level. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for education, delivering high-quality learning experiences to a wide range of audiences, and managing a diverse workload.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement education strategies aligned with our zoo's mission and curricular aims.
- Design and deliver engaging education activities to a range of audiences, liaising with teachers and adapting as required.
- Create bespoke resources that meet the learning outcomes for schools and organisations.
- Liaise with teachers to provide advice and guidance on workshop content, pricing, and timetables.
- Manage education administration, including tracking metrics, payments, and visit numbers.
- Maintain the education facilities and assist with the management of the volunteer programme.
- Foster strict adherence to risk assessments, biosecurity, and safe working practices.
We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,500 per annum, 40 hours per week across 5 days, with occasional weekend and bank holiday hours. You will also receive 28 days' holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays), increasing by 1 annually to a maximum of 33 days after 5 years, as well as a sick pay allowance of 1 week after 12 months' service and a pension scheme.
