Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Mental Health Assistant to join our team at Sandford Ward, Oxford. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care and treatment in the ward environment.

Key responsibilities will include developing and coordinating group & recreational activities for clients, supporting junior staff in the delivery of care, and escorting clients both within and outside the hospital as required. The successful candidate will have a good command of the English language, previous experience of working in a clinical/rehabilitation setting, and enthusiasm to work with people and promote a therapeutic environment.

Benefits of this role include a competitive salary of approximately £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 27 days annual leave, rising to 33 days with continuous service, and access to a lease car scheme and cycle to work scheme.
