Service Manager

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a pioneering recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join their Support & Safeguarding Team in Northamptonshire. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £64,839 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a service plan for the Portfolio, ensuring alignment with Trust objectives and consistently high standards of service delivery.
- Manage and monitor budgets and contracts with providers, adhering to Trust Constitution, financial regulations, and relevant codes of practice.
- Establish effective partnership arrangements with partner organizations, exploring opportunities for service integration and collaboration.
- Take a strategic role in ensuring the Trust's safeguarding and social care services respond to local and national policy requirements.
- Ensure the safeguarding children's arrangements are effective for all children and families within the portfolio, and staff receive and deliver relevant training.
- Recruit, select, lead, and motivate staff, appraise their work, and manage poor performance, ensuring staff development plans and workforce plans contribute to high team performance.
- Introduce and sustain a performance culture, taking account of national and local requirements, and managing performance targets and complaints effectively.
- Contribute to the work of the Safeguarding Board, ensuring active management participation in task and finish groups, panels, and sub-committees.
- Manage change in response to the Government's Agenda for Social Care, ensuring the service is fit for purpose and supportive of seamless service provision.
- Deliver a self-improving service through robust audit activity, embedding 'lessons learnt' across the portfolio.
- Provide advice to Councillors, Committees, and Boards on aspects of the Trust's work, including policy and practice development in light of the changing statutory framework.
- A social work qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
- Experience within Adult Social Work.
