Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Portland Hospital, a leading provider of women and children's healthcare. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics, you will be responsible for providing holistic and evidence-based care to children and young people with orthopaedic conditions.
Main Duties
You will be an advocate for the patient, providing specialist nursing advice and emotional support throughout their journey. You will also drive service development and staff education, using your expertise to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be the lead nurse, responsible for providing specialist knowledge, clinical skills, and expertise in the treatment and management of children and young people with orthopaedic conditions. You will work independently, delivering high-quality, safe, evidence-based practice, while adhering to and following all appropriate corporate and local policies.
Person Specification
We are looking for a qualified nurse with a Children's Nursing Qualification, relevant experience in specialist area, and a Mentorship qualification. You should also have knowledge of safeguarding processes, clinical governance, and managing risk. A Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support qualification is also essential.
