About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Portland Hospital, a leading provider of healthcare services for women and children. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics, you will be responsible for providing expert care and support to children and young people with orthopaedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing advice and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care pathways to improve patient outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and risk management strategies
  • Participate in audit and research activities to improve patient care

Requirements

  • Children's Nursing Qualification (RN Child or RSCN) with valid NMC registration
  • Relevant qualification in specialist area with at least 12 months experience
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support
  • Experience of audit and research relevant to specialism
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes, with up to date level 3 Safeguarding qualification
