Clinical Nurse Specialist: Paediatric Orthopaedics Expert

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Portland Hospital, a leading provider of specialist care for children and young people. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics, you will be responsible for providing expert care and support to patients with orthopaedic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist nursing advice and emotional support to patients and their families
- Driving service development and staff education to improve patient outcomes
- Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
- Maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively converse with a broad spectrum of individuals
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Children's Nursing Qualification (RN Child or RSCN) with valid NMC registration
- Relevant qualification in specialist area with at least 12 months experience
- Mentorship qualification
- Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support
- Experience of audit and research relevant to specialism
- Knowledge of safeguarding processes, with up to date level 3 Safeguarding qualification
- Knowledge of clinical governance and managing risk
