Research Expert in Digital Transformation

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Expert in Digital Transformation to join our team at BT Group. As a key member of our Research and Network Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and delivering business value through cutting-edge research and development.
Key Responsibilities- Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research and development in the field of Intelligent Service Orchestration, with a focus on service orchestration and SD-WAN features, network automation and orchestration, and cloud computing.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your expertise in service orchestration, network automation, and cloud computing to design and build prototypes, and develop innovative solutions to complex business problems.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, to progress new research and innovation outputs, and manage project stakeholders across the business.
- Intellectual Property: Responsible for intellectual property creation, managing patent filing, and supporting IPR exploitation where appropriate.
- Leadership and Development: Supervise graduate and post-graduate student placements and secondments, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Technical Expertise: Strong academic record in technology specialism with post-graduate qualification(s) (PhD or equivalent research experience), and expertise in service orchestration, network automation, and cloud computing.
- Experience: Proven experience in researching and/or development in the field of Intelligent Service Orchestration, with a strong track record of delivering business impact through research and innovation.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage project stakeholders across the business.
