Job Title: Research Expert in Digital Transformation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Expert in Digital Transformation to join our team at BT Group. As a key member of our Research and Network Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and delivering business value through cutting-edge research and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital transformation and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.
  • Network Orchestration: Design and implement network orchestration architectures to enable seamless communication and data exchange between different systems and applications.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, network operations, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in areas such as network automation, orchestration, and AI/ML, and apply this knowledge to drive business value and innovation.
  • Communication and Storytelling: Effectively communicate research findings and technical expertise to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using data-driven storytelling to drive business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Strong Academic Background: PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and APIs, as well as experience with network automation and orchestration frameworks.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and the ability to apply technical expertise to drive business value and innovation.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
