Infrastructure Transformation Programme Manager

NHS England is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Transformation Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a major transformation programme aimed at harmonising hosting standards, security, resilience, suppliers, and operational effectiveness of national and local health and care services.

The successful candidate will drive the maturity of Infrastructure hygiene, reduction of legacy and tech debt within NHS England and throughout the NHS, with a long-term goal of migration where permissible to native Public Cloud.

Key responsibilities include defining, delivering, and managing improvements to NHS England's hybrid hosting and infrastructure arrangements, taking responsibility and accountability for the operation of major services, and supporting leaders of NHS England and external organisations to deliver change across the health and social care system.

The ideal candidate will have significant evidence of continued professional development, recognised management qualification or equivalent experience, and a willingness to undertake the Chartered Management Institute as required for the post.

They will also have a Chartered Institute qualification in either Management Institute (CMI) or equivalent, Level 7 Strategic Management & Leadership in Operational Delivery, or a Member of the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent.

Additionally, they will be a Member of a recognised project or programme management association (e.g. Association for Project Management (APM)).

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that operational governance and processes operate successfully and are continually improved, and transformation programme plans are in place ensuring key stakeholders are appropriately engaged, quality, costs, and outcomes are clearly defined, and benefits are realised.
