About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Care & Custody - A Mitie Company. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to detainees in our custody suites, working closely with the police to ensure their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services to detainees, including assessments, treatments, and care planning.
  • Work collaboratively with police officers and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the custody suites.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with detainees, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • A valid driving license and UK residency for at least 3 years, with no gaps in employment exceeding 3 months.
  • Registration with the NMC or HCPC, with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, as part of a rotating shift pattern.
