About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Care & Custody - A Mitie Company. As a key member of our custody healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to detainees in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care to detainees in custody suites, working closely with police officers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each detainee.
  • Collaborate with the police and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in forensic care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 per year, plus a £1,000 bonus after 12 months of service.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the NMC or HCPC as a nurse or paramedic.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role, preferably in a relevant field such as general practice, A&E, or emergency medicine.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends, to meet the needs of the custody suites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with police officers, detainees, and other stakeholders.
