About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Police Custody Nurse to join our team at Care & Custody - A Mitie Company. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to detainees in our custody suites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care to detainees, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with police officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of detainees.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop care plans to address the unique needs of each detainee.
  • Administer medications and provide medical interventions as required.
  • Document all interactions and care provided in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Valid driving license and ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A £1,000 bonus after completing 12 months of service.
  • Full-time employment with a rolling rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off.
