About the Role

We are seeking a qualified nurse or paramedic to join our team as a Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, providing high-quality care to detainees in police custody suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care to detainees in police custody suites, working closely with police officers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with police colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice in forensic healthcare.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with the police and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of detainees.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £40,000 per year.
  • A £1,000 bonus after completing 12 months of service.
  • Full-time employment with a fixed shift pattern, including day and night shifts.
  • A rolling rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off, with shifts available 2 years in advance.
  • Average estimated overtime of £3,500 per annum.
  • NMC/HCPC registration paid.
  • Full training provided for those without previous forensic experience.

Person Specification
  • Driving licence required.
  • Must be a UK resident for 3 years, with no gaps in country of more than 3 months.
  • All candidates will be subject to police vetting.
  • Qualifications: RN, RGN, or RMN with dual registration; 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field.
