Play Support Assistant

About the Role
Achieving for Children is a Community Interest Company that provides support to young people with disabilities. We are seeking a Play Support Worker to join our team at The Windham Croft Centre in Kew.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the group leader in providing a safe and stimulating play environment for children and young people with disabilities.
- Encourage children to participate in group activities and develop their intellectual and social skills.
- Support children with personal care, feeding, moving and handling needs.
- Keep the environment safe, organised and clean.
- Make a welcome environment for all.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Support with administration of medication (once trained).
- Awareness of safeguarding and follow our safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Write up reports associated with the day's events.
About You
- Interest and experience in supporting children and young people.
- Great communication skills.
- Team player.
- Able to work after school, weekends and holiday periods.
- Friendly, welcoming and engaging.
- Flexible, resilient and calm.
