About the Role

Achieving for Children is a Community Interest Company that provides support services for children and young people with disabilities. We are seeking a Play Support Worker to join our team at The Windham Croft Centre in Kew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with disabilities in a safe and stimulating play environment
  • Encourage children to participate in group activities and develop their intellectual and social skills
  • Assist with personal care, feeding, and moving and handling needs
  • Keep the environment safe, organized, and clean
  • Make a welcoming environment for all
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Support with administration of medication (once trained)
  • Awareness of safeguarding and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Write up reports associated with daily events

About You

  • Interest and experience in supporting children and young people
  • Great communication skills
  • Team player
  • Able to work after school, weekends, and holiday periods
  • Friendly, welcoming, and engaging
  • Flexible, resilient, and calm
