Job Title: Head of Governance and Compliance

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Governance and Compliance. This vital leadership role will ensure that our organisation maintains transparent and effective practices in charity Governance and Compliance, whilst also serving the role as the Association's Company Secretary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to the CEO, Chair, Board of Trustees, and the Executive Leadership Team on governance and compliance matters.
  • Ensure the highest standards of governance across the organisation.
  • Support the relationship between the Board, its committees, CEO, ELT and our membership, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience of the corporate governance, preferably in a membership organisation or charity.
  • Hold or be working towards a Chartered Governance Institute qualification.
  • Experience of working closely with boards and senior managers.
  • Ability to advise, guide, train and support colleagues and the Board on their legal, regulatory, and ethical responsibilities and duties.
