Medical Specialist in Renal and General Medicine

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an accomplished Medical Specialist to fill a prestigious position in Renal and General Medicine.
The successful candidate will contribute to inpatient care, oversee ward management, and participate in the out-of-hours Medical Consultant rota. From a renal perspective, they will lead the Renal Tubular and Genetics Disorder Service, including the Tolvaptan Service for rare inherited and tubular disorders, as well as the Stone Clinic for patients with recurrent renal stone disease.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to teaching and training in a leading national hospital, sharing expertise with colleagues and junior staff.
- Be fully registered with the GMC and hold a CCT in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine or be within six months of award at the time of appointment.
- Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full-time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
Newly appointed Consultants attend our five-day Consultant Development programme within a year of joining the Trust.
About Our Team:The applicant must demonstrate effective communication skills in English, enabling interaction with patients and colleagues about complex medical topics.
