About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our clinical team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Consultant in Medicine for the Elderly, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and participating in the development of clinical services for older adults in Cambridgeshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the establishment of rapid access clinics and care-home interface work, while increasing community provision for patients with frailty and other complex conditions.

You will have the opportunity to participate in the General Medicine (GIM) on-call rota if desired and attend our five-day Consultant Development programme within a year of joining the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical services for older adults in Cambridgeshire.
  • Participate in the General Medicine (GIM) on-call rota if desired.

  • Maintain professional standards and adhere to GMC's Good Medical Practice guidelines.

Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, pro-rata, dependent on experience.
