Specialist in Renal Tubular Disorders and General Medicine

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a dedicated Expert Physician to lead the Renal Tubular and Genetics Disorder Service, including the Tolvaptan Service for rare inherited and tubular disorders, as well as the Stone Clinic for patients with recurrent renal stone disease.

The successful candidate will contribute to inpatient care, oversee ward management, and participate in the out-of-hours Medical Consultant rota. They will also share their expertise with colleagues and junior staff through teaching and training, promoting high standards of medical practice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Renal Tubular and Genetics Disorder Service, providing expert care for patients with rare inherited and tubular disorders.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours Medical Consultant rota, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Welcomed applications from those requiring flexible working arrangements.

Newly appointed Consultants attend our comprehensive five-day Consultant Development programme within a year of joining the Trust.
