i-Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planning Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure project team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all new developments align with national and local transport policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of national and local planning and transport policies, as well as extensive experience in highway development management. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and delivery of highway-related development initiatives.

We offer a competitive salary of £47.00 per hour PAYE or umbrella, along with a range of benefits. As a Transportation Planning Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on the assessment of planning applications to ensure compliance with highways and transportation policies.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between the highway authority, developers, and local planning authorities.
  • Reviewing and approving detailed design proposals for highway infrastructure.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related field.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, ICE, or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
  • Extensive experience in highway development management, including handling complex planning applications.
