Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Development Planning Specialist. As a Development Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in the highways development planning process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and delivery of highway-related development initiatives.

Your main responsibilities will include leading on the assessment of planning applications, providing expert advice on transport impact assessments, and negotiating agreements such as Section 38 and Section 278 of the Highways Act.

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related field.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, ICE, or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
  • Extensive experience in highway development management, including handling complex planning applications.

Salary: £47.00 per hour
