Radiology Department Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our Radiology department as an Administration Facilitator.
This role involves working on the reception desk, answering phone calls, and booking Imaging appointments. You will be responsible for ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained and providing an efficient administrative service to the Radiology team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a highly professional manner and approach.
Main Responsibilities- Work with the imaging appointment booking team to negotiate appointment dates and times for Radiology procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the Radiology team, ensuring data accuracy and highlighting urgent referrals.
- Use initiative to provide an efficient administrative service, utilizing the Radiology Information System (CRIS) to maximize departmental capacity.
- Deal with telephone enquiries, maintaining patient confidentiality and communicating with patients in a sensitive and caring manner.
- Attend patients when they arrive for appointments and assist the wider team in cancelling and rearranging Imaging appointments.
- GCSE qualifications or equivalent.
- Previous work experience with the public and experience of working in a hospital or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a full-time permanent position, with a salary of £25,329 to £26,958 per annum, inclusive of HCAS.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
