Support Worker for Key Stage 3-4 Students

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEN & PRU Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one and small group support to Key Stage 3-4 students within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting.
We offer a competitive salary, based on experience, ranging from £18,000 to £25,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and prior experience. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a PRU or similar SEN environment, with the ability to adapt to different learning needs and behaviors effectively.
The successful applicant will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a supportive learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in need of additional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored learning activities to keep students engaged and motivated.
- Implement and monitor individualized learning and behavioral plans.
- Build positive relationships with students, promoting social and emotional development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a PRU or similar SEN environment preferred.
- Full UK driving license and access to your own car (essential for consideration).
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience in challenging situations.
