Job Title: Advanced Orthoptist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver highly skilled, patient-focused care in the management of ocular motility disorders.
  • Provide orthoptic care as an autonomous practitioner, assessing, diagnosing, and managing adult and paediatric patients.
  • Participate in the teaching of undergraduate orthoptic students and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Deputise for the head orthoptist, manage other staff, and assist with the management of the orthoptic service when required.
  • Conduct off-site community orthoptic services at Anglia Ruskin University and Saffron Walden clinic.
  • Contribute to departmental teaching, research, and audit, including the formulation and development of clinical and departmental guidelines.
