Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Orthoptist to carry out specialist Orthoptic and Medical Retina Clinics.

This role is suitable for Orthoptists who would like to specialise in medical retinal conditions and are happy to carry out intravitreal injections.

Full training will be provided in this specialised role, and we also offer excellent career progression and mentoring support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat patients presenting to the Orthoptic department
  • Formulate relevant discharge plans and make appropriate onward referrals
  • Provide timely paediatric and adult Orthoptic Services at Addenbrooke's NHS Trust and off-site Community Services
  • Participate in extended Orthoptic clinical roles
  • Conduct intravitreal injections on patients with age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy
