About the Role

The Serious Fraud Office is seeking a highly skilled Pay and Reward Manager to join our People and Culture team. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist expertise and guidance on all matters relating to pay and reward, working closely with the Chief People Officer and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective reward strategies that align with Civil Service pay policy, legislation, and the strategic needs of the SFO.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the SFO and the public sector, including the Civil Service.

  • Prepare papers and recommendations for reward strategies, including support for the planning and implementation of annual pay settlements.

  • Use excellent communication skills to effectively manage challenging situations and stakeholders, conveying complex information to different audiences.

  • Lead on and drive forward key work portfolios within the wider pay and reward agenda, including job evaluation requests, pay flexibility, pay equality, and employee benefits.

Requirements
  • Excellent experience and understanding of how pay and reward strategies contribute to organisational effectiveness and engagement.

  • Ability to analyse complex SFO and wider civil service practices in relation to pay and manage project work to enhance the SFO's approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to prepare papers and recommendations for reward strategies, including support for the planning and implementation of annual pay settlements.

  • Leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive forward key work portfolios within the wider pay and reward agenda.

What We Offer

The Serious Fraud Office offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a salary range of £53,132 - £62,877 (Job Grade 7/Band B). Informal hybrid working arrangements apply, and there is an expectation that staff will attend the office regularly. Work pattern and office attendance will be agreed with successful candidates.
