Job Title: Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistants. As a Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in peripatetic posts within the Derby hub, supporting children with Special Educational Needs in various academies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with Special Educational Needs in a peripatetic role
  • Work in partnership with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities to support children's learning and development
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with Special Educational Needs
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and support

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
