About the Role

The Harmony Trust is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistants. As a Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in peripatetic posts within the Derby hub, supporting students with Special Educational Needs in various academies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs in a peripatetic role
  • Work in partnership with teachers and other support staff to develop effective strategies for supporting students
  • Develop and implement learning resources that scaffold and support learning
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure seamless support for students
  • Meet the requirements of the NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience

Requirements

  • A level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • Experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
