About the Role
The Harmony Trust is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistants. As a Peripatetic SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in peripatetic posts within the Derby hub, providing support to students with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs in a peripatetic setting
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure students receive consistent support
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent
- Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
