Senior Finance Leader

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annumAbout the Role:

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Leader to join their team as Executive Director of Finance. This pivotal role demands a senior finance executive with outstanding leadership credentials and experience in managing complex financial environments.

The successful candidate will balance stringent financial oversight and credibility with a passion for innovation, ensuring that the Health Board meets all statutory financial duties and operates with the highest standards of probity in all transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the successful achievement of each statutory financial target and acting as the prime source of advice to the Board on all aspects of financial management, stewardship, and governance.
  • Leveraging expertise in strategic financial planning and development to deliver challenging financial plans, including large cost reduction programmes.
  • Providing advanced expert knowledge of UK and International Accounting Standards and contributing to NHS Wales planning mechanisms and strategy development and delivery.
