We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at Swindale Parks Recruitment.

Company Overview

Our client, a long-established and profitable business specialising in sub-contract laser cutting and folding of various non-ferrous sheet metals, is expanding its operations and requires a dedicated Business Development Manager to drive growth and secure new business opportunities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and targeting potential new customers, specifically engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication companies, corporate and SMEs. This will involve making appointments with key decision-makers, writing visit reports, preparing quotations, and forward planning next actions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Research and target potential new customers, including engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication companies, corporate and SMEs.
  2. Make appointments with key decision-makers, including engineers, designers, and buyers.
  3. Write visit reports, prepare quotations, and forward plan next actions.
  4. Plan and manage your own diary, including a weekly visit to the office.
  5. Focus on securing individual order values in the region of £1,000-£10,000.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience selling into engineering, manufacturing, fabrication companies.
  • Knowledge of steel and engineering drawings.
  • Strong business development pedigree.
  • Self-starter and motivated individual.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Great communication and relationship-building skills.
