Placements and Careers Manager

FIND | Creating Futures is a specialist staffing business that services the Skills, Learning, Higher Education & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Placements and Careers Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating employment opportunities for students and alumni by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with employers and different industry sectors, and for developing placement and professional development opportunities for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a database of placement providers with suitable opportunities and connect employers with students.
- Manage multiple student placements, ensuring all necessary paperwork is received from the student and employer, and that the placement is set up correctly between students and the employer.
- Maintain accurate work placement and student records using the placement tracker and compile reports as needed.
- Develop online resources to support students undertaking work placement opportunities.
- Conduct one-to-one meetings with students to prepare them for placements and deliver pre-placement preparation workshops.
- Support the development of on-campus activities, presenting information, delivering workshops, and hosting events such as job fairs.
- Maintain regular contact with students and employers to monitor placement progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Prepare reports on placement activity and contribute to placement briefings, ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
- Drive and implement the Employability Framework and other activities relevant to the career and sector interests of students.
- Lead on the development and implementation of internal employability frameworks.
- Support students in developing the necessary skills and confidence to progress with their career aspirations.
- Provide advice on CV development, covering letters, and interview preparation, and conduct mock interviews and application reviews.
- Facilitate the full recruitment cycle, including advertising opportunities to students, shortlisting candidates, and providing feedback and making offers.
