Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Placements and Careers Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating employment opportunities for students and alumni by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employer Partnerships: Establish and maintain sustainable relationships with employers and different industry sectors to develop placement and professional development opportunities for students.
- Placement Management: Manage multiple student placements, ensuring all necessary paperwork is received from students and employers, and that placements are set up correctly.
- Placement Tracking: Maintain accurate work placement and student records using the placement tracker and compile reports as needed.
- Student Support: Develop online resources to support students undertaking work placement opportunities, conduct one-to-one meetings to prepare students for placements, and deliver pre-placement preparation workshops.
- Employability Framework: Drive and implement the Employability Framework and other activities relevant to the career and sector interests of students.
- Internal Placement Opportunities: Lead on the development and implementation of internal placement opportunities for students.
- Student Development: Provide advice to students on CVs and covering letters, conduct mock interviews and application reviews, and provide feedback and areas for development.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a careers services, placement environment, or recruitment services role within further education, higher education, or apprenticeships.
- At least a level 3 IAG qualification.
Salary: Up to £35,000
Location: Onsite at one of our campuses
