Job Title: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in South Croydon. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support for Key Stage 2 children with specific educational needs
- Implement strategies to help students with autism and other learning challenges access the curriculum effectively
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher to develop individualized learning plans and tailored support strategies
- Manage challenging behaviours and ensure students feel supported, safe, and included in classroom activities
- Utilise your experience to offer both pastoral and academic support across multiple subjects
Requirements:
- A proven track record of working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs
- Extensive experience supporting autistic children in an educational setting (essential)
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable nature, with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and confidently manage one-on-one and group learning sessions
- Training in SEN support highly preferred
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £500-560 per week
- A full-time position, Monday-Friday (35 hours per week)
