Job Details

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in the New Malden area. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs, aged 16+, on various levels of the autistic spectrum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with special needs in a 1:1 or small group setting
  • Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
  • Ensure the physical, social, and emotional welfare of children
  • Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
  • Be aware of safeguarding procedures to keep children safe at all times

Requirements
  • Experience working with young people or SEND in any capacity
  • Enhanced DBS certification
