Job Summary

The role of the Administration Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of clerical and administrative services within the Children and Young People division, under the supervision of the Business Support Manager.

Main Duties

The Administration Manager will work closely with the Business Support Managers to manage the operational aspects of administrative, secretarial, and clerical staff within the division.

Maintaining good lines of communication with A&C staff across the Division is essential, ensuring that all necessary information is disseminated and implemented by A&C staff.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of A&C staff and implementing new ways of working as necessary to support the Operational Management Team.

They will also be responsible for producing routine and ad-hoc information to support the monitoring of quality indicators and the achievement of Key Directorate objectives as directed by the Operational Management Team.

Requirements
  • Previous experience of staff management
  • Previous experience of managing financial resources
  • Previous experience in producing written reports
Essential Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above
  • Qualified at degree level or equivalent proven experience
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications
Desirable Qualifications
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD

  • Evidence of potential for effective leadership
  • Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions
