About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced teaching assistant to join our specialist team at a well-respected independent school in the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border area.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting students in achieving their full potential, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education and promoting academic excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality support to teaching staff in delivering lessons, including preparation of materials and resources.
  • To work closely with teachers to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions to support student progress.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, using data to inform instructional decisions and drive student success.
  • To communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • To contribute to the overall educational experience of our students, including through participation in extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education or a related field, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents alike.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Familiarity with educational software and technology, with a willingness to learn and implement new tools and systems.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £21,012 per annum, which is commensurate with the national average for teaching assistants in the UK. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
